Rhonda Yates
For State Representative
District 55
I’m an educator, a nurse and a neighbor who’s watched too many people lose hope as our elected leaders play political games. Meanwhile, the cost of living increases, our schools fall behind, and our seniors see prescription prices rise, and benefits go down.

It's time for a change of leadership.

I never planned to run for office, but I’m stepping up because our community deserves leaders who listen, who will fight for our community and prioritize working families over politics as usual.
Together, we can restore hope and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their dreams and help make Michigan and our community the best place to raise a family.

People-First Priorities
Make Life More Affordable
Strengthen Education for Everyone
Families across our community are feeling squeezed by rising prices at the grocery store, the gas pump and the doctor's office. I’ll fight to lower costs, hold corporations accountable and make essentials like childcare, food and housing more affordable, so families can thrive.
Strong public schools are the heart of a thriving community. As an educator, I’ll fight for fair funding, more support for teachers, expanded career and technical opportunities so every student has the tools to succeed.
Healthcare That Puts People First
As a nurse, I know how difficult it can be to get affordable, quality care close to home. I’ll work to lower prescription and hospital costs, expand access to mental health and local clinics, and ensure safe nurse‑to‑patient staffing – because families, not special interests – should be at the center of every healthcare decision.
